If you have seen the American TV series "Friends",
then you surely know who Chandler Bing is. Thinking about his role in the
series, I feel like I am his lady version. It's not like I am a daughter of
some erotic novelist mother and a gay, cross-dressing Las Vegas star father. No,
my parents are perfectly simple people. But here I am talking about Chandler's
character. The way he is awkward among people. See the video and you will see
how he plans to do something and ends up doing something really weird.

Yes, that's me. I am always awkward among people. I don't
know what to say or what to do when I meet people. I think of a lot many things
that I can talk about, but those thoughts never turn into actual words and I
end up portraying myself as a scary kid or a dumb girl. Well, it's really
beneficial sometimes, but at other times after meeting someone, for a few days
I keep thinking "why the f*** did I say that" or "oh how cool it
would have been if I had said this".

It's almost never happened that I was comfortable meeting
any new person. But as I said almost, the only person that I was never awkward
with, even in my first meeting, is the one I am married to. For some reason I
was so comfortable that I did not feel like I was meeting him for the first
time. I was confident, happy, and myself.

Anyways, that's me and to those who have met me and think that
I am weird, I can only say- No, you have no idea how weird I can actually be. You
just have seen the trailer, and I pray to God that the actual movie never gets
released.

Surya-The lord of Planets

The significance of Surya in Indian thought is not only as one of the lord of Grahas, but as identical with the supreme godhead Vishnu.

He sits on a lotus, carrying in his two hands red lotuses, his complexion is deep red, his chariot has seven horses, yoked by seven ropes.

The seven horses of Sun are the seven Vedic metres- Gayatri, Brhati, Ushnik, Jagati, Trishtup, Anushtubh and Pankti.
Shiva and Shakti represents Purusha and Prakriti or Ishwara and his Maya shakti. Hence, the form of Ardhanarishwara depicts the eternal unity of Purusha and Prakriti. The Shiva's portion is red in color and is wrapped in tiger skin. The Shakti portion is black and is adorned with ornaments.

Here is a potrait of Lord Rama, one of the ten incarnations of Lord Vishnu. Rama is referred as Maryada Purushottama. As a person, Rama personifies the characteristics of an ideal person (purushottama) who is to be emulated. He had within him all the desirable virtues that any individual would seek to aspire, and he fulfils all his moral obligations (maryada).

Ma Bharati is holding in her hands, a Cloth, a Rosary, Grains and a Scripture. Grains and Cloth represent basic human needs of food and clothing. And hence, She is the provider and nourisher of mundane needs of her people. The Rosary and the Scripture represent the Spiritual needs of the people. She spiritually uplifts people by leading them to ultimate goal of Jnana (Realization). Hence, She provides both Bukti (Worldly comforts) and Mukti (Spiritual Liberation) to millions of Children who reside in her (i.e. in India)

This painting depicts a scene from Shiva and Gauri’s marriage. Kalyaana means “Marriage”, Sundara means “Beautiful” and Murti means “Image”. Hence Kalyaana-Sundara-Murti is the beautiful image of Shiva during his marriage.

The Dyaana Mantra depicts the ritual of Kanyaadaana wherein Lord Vishnu is giving away the hand of Gauri to Shiva in marriage. Shiva is depicted as having four hands. In the back hands he holds a deer and an axe. In his front right hand, he holds the right hand of Gauri and his front left hand is in mudra of blessing (varada mudra). He is wearing a crescent moon on his head and his hairs are in matted locks piled atop his head like a crown. He has a bright lustre like a coral and wears various ornaments.

Gauri also has her hairs in matted locks piled atop her head in the shape of a crown. She holds a lotus in her left hand and from her right hand she holds the right hand of Shiva. She has dark body complexion and wears various beautiful ornaments.

Vishnu is standing beside Gauri doing her Kanyaadaana to Shiva. He is depicted as having four hands and he holds disk and conch in the back hands. With his front right hand, he is about to pour water that symbolizes giving away of Gauri (Kanyaadaana) to Shiva.
Dakshinamurty or Jnana Dakshinamurty is an aspect of Shiva as a Guru (teacher) who bestows all types of knowledge- Yoga, Music, Arts, Dance, Shastras etc. He is the personification as the supreme or the ultimate awareness, understanding and knowledge. Literally Dakshinamurty means "one who is facing south".

This painting is done according to the descriptions given in Shaiva Kaarnaagama. The description is as follows-

"Lord Shiva has white complexion of sacred ash in His Dakshinamurty form. He carries the crescent moon on His head. His hands have the gesture of knowledge, a rosary, a lute and a serpent. He looks very attractive with a sacred staff called Yogapatta. He sits on a seat called Vyakhyapitha and is surrounded by all great sages. He has a calm temperament. He is adorned by serpents and wears the skin of a deer as dress. He is very auspicious.

On the right flank of the Lord, there are Jamadagni, Vasistha, Bhrigu and Narada. Bharadvaja, Saunaka, Agastya and Bhargava should be shown on the left.

The lord is seated under a banyan tree in the region of the Mount Kailasha, which is populated by Kinnaras etc. He is the master of all and very calm.
Skandamata is the fifth aspect of Goddess Durga and hence worshiped on fifth night of Navratri festival. Parvati being the mother of "Skanda" she is called "Skandamata" (mata- mother). She is that aspect of Parvati that created the whole universe. She is the fifth of the Nav-Durgas (Nine Durgas). I have depicted Her according to the description given in following mantra.
