Here I have taken a completely different approach towards the concept of Ardhanarishwar. I have tried to depict the simultaneous existence of multiplicity (with multiple names and forms) at one end and formless, nameless absoluteness (Non-dual, Brahman) at the other extreme and duality in between. Further, I have tried to show how this cosmos of multiplicity arises out of One formless absolute and also finally merges back into it.

शङ्खं सन्दधतीं करैस्त्रिनयनां सर्वाङ्गभूषावृताम् ।
नीलाश्मद्युतिमास्यपाददशकां सेवे महाकालिकाम्
यामस्तौत्स्वपिते हरौ कमलजो हन्तुं मधुं कैटभम् ।।

Translation:
I pray to MahaKaLi who is three eyed, ten faced and holds a scimitar, disk, mace, arrows, bow, lance, club, a skull and a conch shell in her ten hands, whose body is covered with ornaments whose countenance is that of blue diamonds, and to whom Brahma prayed for protection from the demons Madhu and Kaitava, when Vishnu was in Yoga Nidra.

ॐ अक्षस्रक्परशुं गदेषुकुलिशं पद्मं धनुष्कुण्डिकां
दण्डं शक्तिमसिं च चर्म जलजं घण्टां सुराभाजनम् ।
शूलं पाशसुदर्शने च दधतीं हस्तैः प्रसन्नाननां
सेवे सैरिभमर्दिनीमिह महालक्ष्मीं सरोजस्थिताम् ।

Translation:
I pray to MahaLakshmi who killed demon Mahishasura, who is seated on lotus holding in her eighteen hands a rosary, garland, axe, mace, thunder-bolt, a lotus, bow, water-pot, baton, sword, shield, conch-shell, bell, chalice, lance, noose and sudarshan disk and having smiling countenence.

घण्टाशूलहलानि शङ्खमुसले चक्रं धनुः सायकं
हस्ताब्जैर्दधतीं घनान्तविलसच्छीतांशुतुल्यप्रभाम् ।
गौरीदेहसमुद्भवां त्रिजगतामाधारभूतां महा-
पूर्वामत्रसरस्वतीमनुभजे शुम्भादिदैत्यार्दिनीम् ।।

Translation:
I pray to immensely beautiful MahaSaraswati whose face is as radiant as the full moon in a cloudless sky, who appeared from the body of Gouri and contains the three worlds, who holds bell, lance, plough, conch shell, club, disk, bow and arrows in her eight hands and destroys Shumba and other demons.

Sweetest mother of this Universe!
Where are you?
Where have you gone?
Your Gampu is calling out to you-
"Momma, Momma, Come to me";
Why are you not coming mother?
For a billion life cycles now,
I have been searching for you,
yet I have not succeeded;
I cannot see you,
I'm unable to hear you;
Where have you hidden yourself mother?
Don't you know, Gampu needs you?
Dont you realize, some day you have to come?
Mother, you cant hide from me for too long!
My love will make you to come;

These snaps are of Pithoragarh. A beautiful small town in Uttaranchal state. I spent my whole childhood there. At that time it was an unknown,untouched place of Uttar Pradesh. People weren't aware of this beautiful town. But now it's a tourist place...

I didn't visit Pithoragarh after my dad's transfer. But the sweet memories of the town are still with me...And ofcourse a precious collection of snaps...
